Category:SpeedRunsFrom StratsFuSpeed RunsSpeed runs are a form of "ironman" dungeon runs: deliberately forcing an aspect of the dungeon to make it more difficult. In addition to the fun, speed runs also server a purpose: by learning how to move quickly through a dungeon and handle the unexpected under time pressure, your guild becomes better at every-day farming. A common complaint from guilds is that people "suck" on farm content, even including the early bosses in your current progression dungeon. When our applicants learn that we clear all of T6 each week they usually cringe -- until they learn that we spend less than 4.5 hours on both BT and MH weekly, even when we're not pushing for a guild speed clear record. While gear can make it easier, a dungeon speed run is far, far more about control, survivability, and smart play than it is about DPS. If you stack dps, you will likely fail because you don't have enough cushion for the inevitable problems.
Current HighlightBT cleared, from first trash mob to clicking on Illidan's corpse, in 1 hour 49 minutes. No stacking for bosses or trash: the swaps during the raid were to allow people to come in for specific drops.
