Recruiting

From StratsFu

Fusion is continually looking for extremely awesome players. Right now we actually have a full roster with extras of every class and spec we'd want HOWEVER we are always looking for absolutely amazing players.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 7:30-midnight EST

What we're looking for

  • You enjoy theorycrafting. This means you take pride in your knowledge of the minutiae of the game and getting the most out of your own character as well as knowing how other classes work. This doesn't necessarily mean you write spreadsheets or class guides, but it does mean you are only happy when you feel you're getting the absolute most out of the game by knowing everything about it.
  • You are communicative. This means you enjoy talking on vent and taking part in discussions about the game. Think of us as a book club where our topic is everything WoW. If you have no desire to listen to other people talk about WoW or any desire to contribute yourself then there's no reason to be in the WoW book club.
  • Ability to understand strategy discussions. We're at the top end of raiding and people who are able to follow and contribute to strategy discussions are most valuable to us. We're looking for bright minds who can see into the game at a strategic and tactical level.
  • Leadership experience is a huge plus. Regardless of whether you've been an officer or GM or whatever, having lead raids often is an extreme plus. Raid leaders generally make the best raiders because raid leading entails a high level understanding of the interworkings of a raid. We're looking for people who understand raiding at more than a "class" or "task" level.
  • You have a lot of experience. While this is semi-optional, the odds are you will not fit the rest of our criteria if you haven't been raiding for 1.5+ years and haven't been near the edge of content. The greater the breadth of your experience the better you are at doing the other things listed here generally.
  • Any additional talents that enrich the guild. Things like the ability to create media (video, audio, and graphics), mod development, industry contacts, etc. One of the most important parts of a successful top end guild is image/reputation creation and management. Publicity is a key to recruitment, and recruitment is the lifeblood of a guild. Anything that helps attract people to the guild is a plus.

What we have to offer

  • Fusion is a top end guild and as such you'll be able to experience the cutting edge of content. See unspoiled encounters and develop strategies for beating them. These days, to see content unspoiled you have to be working on it day one or videos will have already been released. There's not many guilds that can offer this opportunity.
  • A roster full of talented individuals who won't fail the raid. Nearly every guild out there, even many at the top, have multiple people on their roster and in their raids that simply are not cut out for the content they're working on. This is not so in Fusion. Fusion has a roster 100% filled with great players who will not make you facepalm and who will execute the strategies that you help come up with. We take great pains in our recruiting process to not let subpar players onto our roster.
  • A large portion of like minded players. While not everyone on our roster is interested in copious amounts of strategy discussion, you will find a large group of people who are. Interesting post-raid ventrilo discussions usually play host to 10-15 people actively contributing about how we can do better at raiding and have a fun time destroying old content.
  • A guild that takes care of all the annoying "non-raid" requirements of raiding. Our philosophy is that we will provide all materials our raiders could possibly need in a raid as long as they come to raids and provide us with the maximum effort and focus we need to beat the content. We pay for all repairs (mains and alts), all raid materials, many profession costs, and most raid gear costs (things like purchasing BoE patterns).

To put it bluntly, we're looking for the best of the best to bring with us into the next expansion. We've beaten the game and the main thing we're interested in now is enriching our guild for the future. We're looking for exceptional PEOPLE, not characters, and as such we've even had multiple talented people recently reroll from alliance to join us.
